Picture 5 is called “The Companion on the Journey” – and as you can see, in the picture there are 2 figures and what looks like a pattern of light between the two of them.
It’s also from the same series of photography of figures in light, by Michael Taylor – this picture is called “Lightpath 139” – the same series as the large picture with which we began the exhibition, so you’ll probably see similarities.
The figure at the right hand side, as you can see, has their head down and looks sad – and this is actually referred to, in the story which follows. But in between the figures of light, are the light waves, and it is like Christ coming with us on the journey of life, as he does with these 2 friends who are sad at his death.
